St. Louis Chapter’s Annual Saturday Luncheon Meeting

You are invited to join us for this special meeting!  Those of you who have other commitments on our

regular Wednesday evening meeting – this is your chance to join us for a meeting!  Our program will be:

“Air Refueling- Nobody Kicks A** Without Tanker Gas”Or

“Air Refueling: How Do They Do That?”

Air refueling is a unique military procedure; and many people wonder, “How do they do that?”  A KC-135 aircrew member will share some air refueling experiences and shed some light on how the mission is accomplished every day.  Topics planned include a brief history of air refueling (A/R), the current tanker mission, basic air refueling procedures, capabilities, fun facts and hazards.  This will be an informal discussion, and questions are welcome (that’s the best part!)

Our speaker is Jeanette (Jen) Moore:  Jen is a full time employee at the Boeing Company working as a Systems Engineer on the Logistics Modeling and Simulation Team in St. Louis, MO.  She is also a “traditional guardsman” (or part time member) of the IL Air National Guard where she flies the KC-135 Stratotanker.  Jen enjoys juggling the two jobs and has enjoyed a diverse history at Boeing including jobs as a Software Quality Engineer for the F/A-18 Advanced Mission Computer and the C-17 Weapon System Trainer programs, and as an Avionics Engineer working on Internal Research and Development for the Tanker Team.  Jen takes military leave from Boeing to support her flying career, including AF Pilot training at Columbus AFB, and deployments with ILANG to Turkey, France, Japan and Guam in support of missions including Operation Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, and Joint Forge.  Jen graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor Degree in Math and is now pursuing a Masters of Art in Management and Leadership from Webster University.  Jen and her husband Nathan, enjoy spending every spare moment with their son Colin.

You won’t want to miss this special speaker! 

Our private meeting room opens at noon with lunch being served at 12:30 PM.  Menu is soup and sandwiches for $15.   Jen will make her presentation at 1:30 PM.  We will meet at the Sunset Lakes Banquet Center 13366 W. Watson Road in Sappington, MO 63127.
